The world can be tough. That is just as true for kids as it is for adults. At times, life can seem hard, or we may not feel as special, beautiful, or wonderful as we should. One of the quickest steps (and most effective ways) to build self-confidence quickly is to dress your best. By doing this every day, you will notice just how great you look. Not only that, but you will get a little extra boost of self-confidence on the daily by looking your best. And remember, this means dressing how you feel you look the best, not how others tell you to dress.

Get Physical

Try working out! As silly as it sounds, working out can help to boost serotonin, which makes us happier. Start with a light work-out regimen, then amp it up, gradually. Working out can help you to lose weight or look your best, if those are concerns you have. It will also help you to feel your best because you know you are doing what is best for you, and putting yourself first on a regular basis. You may even want to find others to play sports with, or who want to exercise with you.

Identify What You Do Not Like, Then Talk

Think realistically about yourself. What things would you like to change? What things can you actually change? Talk all these things out with your close friends. Sometimes you may feel insecure about certain things, like looks and intellect, for no reason. Friends can offer supportive advice about what you can change, as well. And, if you really do want to make changes to improve yourself, it is important to do so. You are the only person who has the power to. In the end, remember to stay positive. Try to give yourself, and others, compliments, daily. Even fake positivity may help you, on some days. Try to keep a smile on your face, and keep your head up. Eventually, you will feel better about yourself than you have before.
